About

Oh, hey! Here’s a random photo of me showing off my awesome octopus earrings!

The tag line of my blog says it all: woman, aunt (to two nieces and a nephew), sister, daughter, TV fan, reluctant homeowner, and ex-non-driver. I’m the youngest of three kids, Filipino in ethnicity, a Chicago native and a corporate minion.

Why is the blog titled i-cant-drive? Here’s the deal: when I started this blog, I couldn’t drive – or, really, I DIDN’T drive. I didn’t start driving until I was 26, though I did get a drivers license at age 17. Was it fear? Laziness? I can’t say for sure. But I had finally had enough of depending on people, annoying people, taking the bus/train, and being made fun of. So I drove. Take THAT, haters.

Other stuff: I have a sick addiction to television. I have an iPod and love listening to music and podcasts. I craft to de-stress. I have a ton of books, and I do read them on occasion. I like to travel, and sometimes the best part of traveling is that I actually have time to read. This blog will be about all of that, plus whatever else I feel like blogging about. I also write another blog with my uber-friend, Christie. It’s all about turning vegan and has some brilliant vegan recipes.

DISCLAIMER I don’t get paid for doing this. I will not knowingly violate any copyright laws. If there is an image, opinion, or anything on this blog that you believe belongs to you and that I have no right to post, send me an e-mail lisacandrive at that gmail place.

Thanks for stopping by!
