Note to Self: AZ is Perfect in February

I’m blogging from Scottsdale, AZ – it’s one righteous ‘hood! In all seriousness, I’m actually having a great (business) trip and enjoying a lovely change from the cold, snowy Chicago weather. One of my coworkers commented the other day on how everyone’s car looks new here. It’s because a) a good 33% of the cars are probably rentals and b) everyone’s car in Chicago looks completely shitty from the snow. It was a chilly day in the 60s today, if you can believe it. The natives laugh about how the snowbirds and tourists are easy to spot because they’re the only ones in shorts.

Anyway, I’ve been here since Monday and I’m not scheduled to leave until Friday afternoon. Business trips can be a huge waste of time, but I’m happy to report that this trip has been pretty worthwhile. Now I’m getting annoyed because there’s a toddler in the room next to ours and he or she won’t shut up. Hey, I love kids, but I am so not in the mood for this right now. Hope the kid goes to sleep soon!

It’s my lazy night stuck in the hotel room (I’m so not feeling adventurous enough to take the car out by myself tonight), so I’m going to catch up on Quarterlife and watch the DVDs I brought. This place they call a luxury hotel doesn’t have Bravo, so there’s nothing to watch on TV tonight.

Long blog post…see ya.
