Creepy vid, but the music should be enjoyable.

I hate to contribute to the viral-ness of this video, but it’s just too priceless not to post. Not for the kids or the workplace.
Blake Lewis (My Fake Boyfriend) on American Idol
Dammit, Blake. I blame you for getting me sucked in to American Idol this season. It wasn’t the most pitch perfect performance, but at least we know he wasn’t lip synching. And I enjoy him performing live. Hmm. Why do I love Blake so much?
Kristy Lee Cook has GOT TO GO!!! I’m so sad that Asia’h got voted off. And these are words from a girl who only started watching on Wednesday.
Audio Day Dream: Second Listen
Okay. I was driving home from bufu today, listening to Blake Lewis. And, I really like this CD now. It’s still got a good layer of cheese, but I really liked the song that I hated at first, 1000 miles. It’s a good lesson in first impressions. Sorry for judging too quickly, Blake! Love the CD.
Audio Day Dream Reviewed
Rickey from rickey.org said that Blake Lewis made an 80′s/boy band album (not to be confused with “80′s boy bad” – the slash should be noted). And I agree. I like this album overall, but Blake is best when he’s NOT doing the boy band thing.
Highlights: Break Anotha, Know My Name, and (my guilty pleasure) 1000 miles
Low point: Without You
Look, I’m not gonna get too much into it. But Blake works best with a great beat behind his voice. But did he write the lovey dovey songs? I just don’t think they work. I think it would suit him more to write angry love songs than oooh baby you’re the one for me love songs. It’s not that the songs don’t sound good, they’re just not the Blake that I want to listen to.
If anything, this album shows us Blake’s potential. And, assuming he played a big role in the writing, mixing, etc., I think he can have a killer career as a producer. He’s got great ideas and a great sound, but they’re not always going to work if he’s the performer.
That being said, the first half of this album is exciting. And then, it just gets…slow and depressing. And where was Doug E. Fresh? I still love Blake!
My Blake Lewis Crush: Revived
Ah, he’s just so darn cute: http://www.tvguide.com/news/american-idol-blake/070829-01
Jordin Wins!
On last night’s (boring) finale of American Idol, Jordin Sparks won the big title. Blake Lewis ended up in 2nd place. I believe that the right person won. Sounds like Blake is already working with people, including the dude from 311, on his own music. Yay!
I hope I don’t obsess over this show next season. Special thanks goes to Rickey (rickey.org) for his live blogging. It allowed me to switch over to LOST at 8pm without missing anything important. And, apparently, I didn’t miss anything important. Yay!
America & Blaker Girls Weep as Blake Lewis Becomes New American Idol*
*Yes, this story (including quotes) is fake! Like, OMG!
Last night’s finale of American Idol served a huge upset as Blake “The Entertainer” Lewis was crowned the sixth American Idol. When prompted to speak to the crowd, a teary-eyed Lewis said, “I sucked last night on purpose so that Jordin could win it. What’s wrong with you people? Thanks, anyways, I guess. Love you, Dad!” He then proceeded to beatbox instead of singing “This is My Now”. No immediate comment could be obtained from Jordin Sparks, who slapped host Ryan Seacrest upon hearing the results, then tripped and fell as she ran off the stage in dismay. Even in an unconscious state, tears streamed down the 17-year-old’s face.
Don't Worry, Blake: I Will Always Love You

I controlled myself tonight and did not vote for Blake – or Jordin. Tonight’s final was great, but it showed that my man Blake just doesn’t fit the Idol mold. And that’s OK! He did a great job with the songs, and I actually liked how the cheesy AI song sounded for him. But Jordin knocked it out tonight. And I’m glad she did. The past couple weeks have been rough for her. Tonight’s performances were a step up. One note for her – she’s kind of boring. For the Christina Aguilera song, especially, I wish she had moved a little bit.
Overall, I’m kind of creeped out that I got into this season of American Idol. It’s all because of one Blake Lewis. I’m so excited for tomorrow night’s finals. I just might have a cow. It’ll be Jordin’s night, and she deserves to win it. (But I do look forward to the day when I can buy a Blake Lewis CD!)
I Cannot Believe It

I also can’t stop smiling!! In a shocking twist, Melinda was sent home tonight on American Idol. There’s a lesson to be learned here: Never underestimate the teenybopper vote!! While Melinda was probably more deserving than any of the other contestants to be in the finals, she still exited on a high note. It was very fitting for Elliott Yamin to have been one of the guest performers tonight, because I’m sure any advice or experience he has to share will be beneficial to Melinda. Plus, the girl already had a career in music. So, it’s not like she’s going to go home and lay in bed for the rest of her life.
YES! Blake made it. I’d like to think that my psychotic voting made it all the more possible for him. Go Blake! Whoo hoo!!
