We’ve been hearing it for weeks now….the sixth episode of Dollhouse will be pivotal…it will show us what the series is all about…it’ll change everyone’s minds about the show.
Oh, Joss Whedon, you trickster! I had just about lost faith in Dollhouse – and was trying not to expect too much from the famed sixth episode. But this episode delievered big time! (Sidenote: how much Tahmoh Penikett can a girl handle in one night of television? Guess it’s not really an issue anymore.) In addition, despite that problems that many critics and I had with the first five episodes, we kind of needed that stuff in order to fully appreciate what happened during this episode:
- Ooooh, Mellie. I knew something was up with you, but WOW.
- I think I have a crush on Victor. No joke. I think I’m hot for Enver Gjokaj.
- How kickass is Langdon?
- Does Tahmoh Penikett do the nasty on every project he works on or what? It’s just dirty. And yummy.
- The previews for next week’s episode have got me REALLY excited. It’s nice to see that Joss Whedon hasn’t totally lost his genius sense of humor!
Okay, I hate saying this, but something’s gotta be done about Eliza Dushku. I love the girl, and she has great moments, but one of the major reasons that I enjoyed this episode is because it didn’t really focus on her and so it didn’t matter if she sucked at the acting part. Look, we can complain all we want, but in the real world, there is no Dollhouse without Eliza Dushku (who also has a Producer credit), and I know Joss won’t ever be disloyal to his girl. Seriously, though…Eliza is at her best when she’s kicking someone’s ass. And that’s that.
