Heroes: I Am Become Death

Top 3 Moments
1. Nathan saving Tracy. Yeah.
2. ADAM! Yes.
3. Peter going all Sylar on Nathan.

Ali Larter has the most secure job in Hollywood. Once we grow tired of this Tracy chick, there’s apparently one more version of her that she can play.

I heart future Sylar and his wonderful ways. Don’t get me wrong – he’s great when he’s evil, but just the potential for redemption is promising.

I probably wouldn’t hate Peter so much if I wasn’t creeped out by the Milo/Hayden thing. But, alas, I find him incredibly annoying. He doesn’t do anything right! And now, he’ll probably go all Sylar on Sylar’s ass. The ability to control one’s power is certainly a running theme of this show…sigh. Anyway, I think the fact that no one seems to be on Peter’s side in the future is reason enough to hate him.

Daphne and Matt? I don’t know. I suppose it’s not totally unbelievable. But I’m so sick of trying to figure out who is good and who is bad (though I am certain that future Claire is bad). Let’s give Greg Grunberg some love! I hope he gets a fat paycheck for playing Matt. Face it-if he wasn’t on Heroes, he would probably have an awesome role on Fringe right now. Speaking of which, when will we have a Greg Grunberg cameo on Fringe? Don’t leave us hanging, J.J. Abrams. Or, let’s at least hope the reason he hasn’t appeared is because you’re waiting for him to get cut loose from Heroes so he can have a prominent role on Fringe.

Why the photo of Jack Coleman? Because I missed seeing him tonight. The closest we got was Sylar’s son being named Noah.

Heroes: One of Us, One of Them

NBC.COM

I have very few positive things to say about Heroes right now, so let’s start with the negatives.

There’s too much crap going on. There are way too many characters and plotlines. Sure, they’re probably all connected somehow, but there is WAY too much disconnect right now.

Sorry, but I don’t care about this whole Ali Larter clone thing (though I did enjoy Micah’s brief return). Parkman’s spirit walk? Come on, couldn’t they have found a more original power for the African dude? The whole painting the future thing is SO season 1.

Dumbass of the Season will probably be rewarded to Peter Petrelli and his lovely niece, Claire. Of course, I say this after an episode that didn’t feature Mohinder. Is one of future Peter’s powers the unfortunate ability of making absolutely no sense? And this whole Claire turning bad thing is just annoying.

I Hope They Pay Masi Oka and James Kyson Lee a Crapload of Money because, in addition to having to speak Japanese, they’re used purely for comic relief and haven’t had a ton of character development. However, I did enjoy their storyline in this past episode.

Excuse my language, but why the fuck did they bother hiring Francis Capra for two episodes playing the dumbest character of the show? Augh, it’s bad enough that they misuse Kristen Bell. These are two more actors whom I hope are getting paid a ton for being on this show.

The best part of this show is – surprise – Zachary Quinto & his delicious portrayal of Sylar. Now here is the one character who is going through a geniune and wonderful development. Pairing him with Noah Bennett is just the best thing they could have done. If Quinto and Jack Coleman were the only two stars of this show, I think it would be much better. No offense to the other actors.

I’m hoping for a better episode tonight at 9/8c on NBC.

Heroes: The Second Coming & The Butterfly Effect

Let me begin by saying that I totally forgot that Heroes was premiering on Monday. I wasn’t really upset when I realized that I’d missed it. But I finally watched it. As per usual, lots and lots of stuff happened.

Top 3 Moments
1. Weevil and Veronica together again! Let me add that I LOVE the character they’ve conjured up for Francis Capra.
2. The introduction of Daphne. Brea Grant just seems like a really awesome girl.
3. Claire getting her head sliced/brain prodded by Sylar. Yum! Call me crazy, but I love seeing Hayden P in peril.

Gouge Out my Eyes Moment: Maya and Mohinder making out. Honorable mention to any moment when Hayden and Milo are together onscreen. Even before they were dating, I got the heebeejeebees when they were onscreen together.

Dumbass of the Week: Mohinder wins again! Do they make him an idiot on purpose? This week, though, he has to share his crown with Future Peter. I’m sorry, but who on earth doesn’t realize that changing one thing in the present can have a drastic effect on the future? DUH. And I really don’t like the scar.

Questions for Tim Kring: Why oh why do you insist on keeping Ali Larter on the show? At least Tracy Strauss’s power is something new. Will we ever check in on Micah? Why is Mama Petrelli such a bitch? Is there a point to Linderman’s “return” or do you just really like having Malcolm McDowell on your show?

Wish List for Future Episodes: Give Kristen Bell something to do (and pair her up with Francis Capra!). Obliterate Future Peter. More Jack Coleman!!! Less Maya and Mohinder. Yuck.

I like this show, but there is just too much crap going on!! I’ll keep watching, though.
