Nerdist Podcast

I’ve been meaning to blog this for awhile, but I have to tell everyone I know that they MUST listen to the Nerdist podcast. Chris Hardwick is the main dude behind nerdist.com (and is @nerdist on Twitter). He hosts the show along with Matt Mira and Jonah Ray.  The conversations and interviews are intelligent, funny, insightful, and really just everything you need from a podcast that features intelligent and funny people. I love every single f’in episode, even if I’m not familiar with the guest or don’t know much about what they’re talking about.

Yes, it’s funny. If I could only say one thing about it to sell it, I would say it’s funny. There’s a lot of smart comedy on this podcast and it’s absolutely free. But it’s more than funny: it’s nerdy in the best way and really informative.  Guests that they have had include Craig Ferguson, Rob Zombie, “Weird Al” Yankovic, and the Muppets.

My New Favorite Podcast: The Transmission

As a devoted listener to The Lost Podcast with Jay & Jack, I was entirely aware of The Transmission, a Lost podcast by Ryan and Jen. But it wasn’t until The Dharmalars decided to close up shop that I finally decided to give it a listen. Hey, Lost is so good this season that I can’t get enough of the podcasts about it!

Anyway, I just want to thank Ryan and Jen for putting together an outstanding podcast. You guys rule. And don’t worry, Jay & Jack…I still love you guys and will keep listening for as long as you guys keep podcasting!

Podcast update

I can’t stand the music on my iPod these days, which says a lot since I have like 50 gazillion hours of music stored on it. So I’ve recently subscribed to some podcasts (mainly because GMMR and Ducky and The TV Addict don’t upload anything regularly and I need a TV discussion fix).

Shortly after the inauguration, I subscribed to President Obama’s weekly radio address. It’s nice to keep updated, even if it’s just a 4 minute reflection on what’s going on.

LOST has been so good this season that I have re-subscribed to The Lost Podcast with Jay & Jack. I stopped listening around the 2nd or 3rd season because I found it hard to keep up and I was kind of blah about watching the show. But now I’m totally into it.

Chicagoist premiered their podcast this week. I haven’t listened yet, but I can’t wait to. LOVE the site.

I still miss Neptune Pirate Radio…I wish they would have gone on and did a podcast about another show.

Back to the music thing, though…I really need to find some new bands to listen to. I’m so sick of….everything!
